questions?

a visit to doc for eye infection .. three spin-off.

strange doc
eye infection. examined by doc.
explained to me what causes the infection.
and suddenly he goes “questions?”
two seconds delay while my brain process his words “oh, no questions.”
he explained to me the nurse will teach me the correct way to apply eye gel “questions?”
two seconds delay (again) “no questions.”
”okie, u take care” – i was being dismissed, stood up immediately.
”you too”
”rem, don’t rub ur eye often. easier say den done right”
”you are right”

strange mother
”pls go to toilet” a mother told her son loudly.
her boy was sitting two seats away from me. he shook his head.
throughout the visit, the mother will ordered his son to go toilet (like 6 times) , wash his hands, to eat his food slowly as suggested by doc..
i know it a form of concern, she might be havin a bad hair day but its her tone that got everyone looking at her.
her tone / look spoke volume of mother / son relationship. she came across as dislike her son even though the little boy is sick (down with sorethroat, asthma, running nose) of coz, there could be stories behind it that i’m not aware of & i couldn’t or shouldn’t form a opinion of the poor woman.. still.

on the other hand, i saw this father & his son. the way the father cuddle his boy, assured him, make him laugh despite being sick, the way the son respond to his father concern.

the differences is staggering.

ballet under the stars

ladies & gentlemen. may i present to you ‘ballet under the stars’

notes: 15 mins interval. supposed to watch the fireworks but yeap, hidden behind the trees. all sound & smoke, no visibility.
tix: $25 per pax (exp!)

okie. my review on BUTS: love the idea of picnic + ballet. the whole concept of bringin ballet into the ‘neighbour’ instead of the typical esplanade, the tix are priced at $25, somewhat reasonable (too exp for me though!) i like the casual atmosphere, lotsa families with small kids, ppl toking or laughin loudly, someone celebrated their bdae nearby, ppl eatin chix wing + beer but  i do find it strange seeing ppl with their champagne glasses. *frown* anyway, overkill though, the place is super-duper packed. gates open at 5.30pm but by 6pm, the place is 3/4 filled. overall i would give this event 3 out of 5.  this outing falls under experience-only-thank-you-but-we-wont-be-back. haha ! okie, i might if it a hip-hop tinky, ballet not my cup of tea.

lotsa ppl gotta love this entry. no, i shld write lotsa ppl will agree with this. i be tokin abt it & yeap, its time to blog abt it! my handwriting. it awful with a capital a. kor dislike it & guy ‘needs some effort to read it” so? how awful? think something along the line of indian words (pardon me)  now.. you get the picture. my lame excuse: coz i’m left-handed.

cookies stories

a young lady was waiting for a flight in the boarding room of a big airport. as she would need to wait many hrs, she decided to buy a book & a pack of cookies. she sat down in the armchair to read & to rest. beside the armchair where the pack of cookies lay, a man sat down in the next armchair, open his mag & start reading. when she took out the first cookie, the man also took one. she felt irraiting but said notink. she just tot “what a nerve! if i was in the mood, i would punch him for daring!” for each cookie she took, the man took one too. this was infuriating her but she didn’t want to cause a scene. when only one cookie remained, she tot, ahh.. what this abusive man do now? den, the man, takin the last cookie, divided it into half, giving her one half. ah! that was too much! she was much too angry now ! in a huff, she took her book, her things and stormed to the boarding place. when she sat down in her seat, inside the plane, she looked into her purses to take her glasses and to her surprise, her pack of cookies was there, untouched, unopened ! she felt so ashamed ! she realised she was wrong, she forgotten that her cookies were kept in her purse. and the man had divided his cookies with her without feeling angered or bitter.. while she had been very angry tinking that she was dividing her cookies with him. and now there was no chance to explain herself.. nor to apologise.

creativity @ work 3

i’m keeping track.. are you? – the numbers of ideas i can churn out.

here the lastest – for our 3th mth. almost. its inspired by guy ! are you surprised guy? yeap, i love ur drawing in whine file & i decided to modify your idea into something bigger. oh yeap, this is the biggest mini-project i did. how come it growing in size & effort?

drawings. lotsa lotsa drawings. for someone who sucks at drawings, i did it.

first draft – pencil. what to draw, drew, pen down my tots, work on presentation & improvized along the way.. how do i turn a blank A3-sized paper into something interesting yet meaningful. yeap, i’m giving him my drafts as well.

second draft – time to be serious baby. re-drew with colour pencils / markers.

my all time fav – picture of knight. i copied this but mine is the thinner version.

quick facts:

cost: $2.70. for the markers.
time: .. think in terms of 2/1/2 hrs ..
mood: brain dead but proud of myself.
result: amazing. astonishing. remarkable. artistic (at least to me!) but childish.
last – i’m no longer known for my whining but my creativity. and yes, i aldy have ideas for the 4th & 5th month. stick around my guy & you will find out. *wink

stupid acts of the week

time to list down my stupid acts of the week:

act #1: i was upset over something recently. in an attempt to cheer me up, guy drew smiley face on my shoes. i named them exp-hk-shoes-no-brand-but-cost-SGD$70. yeap, my guy drew on it & i burst out laughing. walking around with two smiley face on my feet.

act #2: i know i shldnt whine abt this. cant tolerate it when other women whine abt this but yeap, i am fat. everyone say so! rainin, cant jog. i did the next best thing, walked twelve fleets of stairs, i ended off the evening with laska + one slice of pizza + beancurd + two nuggets.

act #3: my msg to guy, one of the morning & it goes something like ‘i changed clothes three times, i dreamt of cockroaches and i am late’

and it only wed. i have 4 days to go.. two more:

act #4: creativity at work 3. picture book. how could one draw out the things she went through with another man?! places, food, tots..

act #5: upset with a frd. left office. reached interchange. ugh ! where my wallet. my ez-link in my wallet. walk back to office.

2 days to go.

act #6: this isn’t stupid. it shld fall under determination. 3 jogs a week, 2km, 2.4km & 2.6km. be jogging for 2 weeks, decided that whining with words doesn’t help, next best thing is do something abt it. my target is 10 rounds, 4km, 41kg. (opps, i dunno wat my current weight) wondered shld i set target or just do plain simple jogging, target. it gave one a sense of achievement & allow me to go further. (PS – actually i look better with my current weight, 41kg is underweight. well, it’s a woman thing)

act #7: i grab jie’s hand. “jie, lets go sing bdae song to kor” we waited for him to step out of the bathroom. both of us clapping & jumpin happily sang happy bdae kor !

whatsup 2?

train. minding my own business. yeap i’m still reading the pact. the-pact

chinese guy beside me. middle age, gray hair, polo tee, playing tetris. the one word that flashed into my mind : dirty. let nicknamed him sleepy head.

read my book & notice sleepy head dozing off. suddenly, there’s a head near me. ugh. whatsup? why me?! tried very hard to ignore but i cant. sleepy head’s head (woah) is getting way too close to me.  sigh. close my book. wondered what to do next.

i did something i never tot of doing ! instead of my usual style of enduring, i tap his shoulder. sleepy head woke up, adjust his position & fall right back to slp. whatsup ! and yeap, his head came over my side again. in total, i tapped him three times before i reach redhill. the two guys standing in front of me must be pretty entertained by me.

so, lets sum up (again) – guys, don’t do that on train, esp if there’s a girl sittin beside you. something known as personal space. if you really had to slp, slp properly. kinda hard to achieve that on the train.. well. i dunno. figure it out. 1aafd5234f7148e21

i just declared this – i have a whine buddy, he is 1.75m & he makes me laugh. poor guy.

realised i dislike interruption on the train, coz it means – i met someone nasty. tot abt this & i concluded, i only like to have guy interrupt my reading ! mushy?!
