Good evening everyone.

First, I’ll like to say a big thank you to my sister. Thank you, Jie for making me your maid of honor. I am very happy for you that you have found Christon. Or, Christon found you! You two are perfect together, and, both of you look stunning tonight.

I did some research on how to write a wedding speech, and so I need to mention how long I have known the bride and how I know her. Well, in our case, I known her for about 30 years, 9 months and 26 days, 10 hours and 25 seconds. Oh, I think I’ve just told everyone our age?! [Haha]

Ok, I’ve known her since.. forever, but of course I don’t remember much about it.

My earliest memory of Jie, was in kindergarden, with both of us in our cute little uniform and having the exact same hairstyle. I remember her as this girl who goes wherever I go. And, she dresses exactly like me, she talks like me, and she LAUGHs exactly like me! Okay, maybe I was the one who copy her? *smile*

Most of you know Minhui as Minhui but to me, she’s my ‘Jie’.

She’s the one I turn to when my tummy hurts at night, the one who will sayang me when mum’s asleep, the one who makes me laugh when I am upset, the one who is always patient with me, the one who loves me unconditionally and the one who sees me as her baby sister even though we are only 7 mins apart. She is very serious in her role as older sister!

Jie, you are the best twin sister in the world!

The Christon I know is a sweet dude who gets sunflowers for Jie whenever she is sick. He ta-baos lunch for jie all d way from Pasir Ris. He talks to Jie whenever she can’t fall asleep. And he plays along with jie’s teddy bear (chao ta) coz he knows it makes her happy! Thank you, Christon for keeping Jie happy and safe. Thank you for loving her for the past 4 years, and for the many more years ahead. Chu-Nu Xiu , welcome to our noisy family !

Christon, Jie, to the both of you, may your lives together be always filled with love, laughter, hope and joy. I love you both !
