mcd resturant & noticed this man sitting by himself. no food on his table.
forgot all abt him & trying to decide between fillet or mcspicy.
gotta our food, happily chattin away eatin & the man approached us.
“3 for $1” he pushed 3 packets of tissues to my colleauge.
of coz, his offer was rejected. we’re at mcd & mcd have endless supply of serviettes.
i turned to ling ‘girl, can u scold him? sellin tissue at mcd. dumb right?!’
took a closer look at him.. he dont look ‘normal’ if you know what i mean.. 🙁

this is a story abt a funny man.
funny man watched star trek & loved the show. told me three times, girl u must catch the show. it really good.
i reminded funny boy three time – yar, star trek is good. i know. i watched with YOU.
funny man & i saw a guy playin some music. i cant resist. i had to donate. i took $2 instead of $5 coz i noe funny man will ‘nag’ at me if i donate $5.
guy started his story – girl u noe i saw on the tv show at my auntie’s place. this man. he act as the blind but he the first to run..
i smile at him.
guy ramble on with his story & i burst out laughing.
what? he asked.
i watched the show with u, at ur auntie’s place. i wanted to wait for u to finished with your story-tellin before tellin u but it too funny.
both of us collapse into fits of giggle.
he is good at alot of things – fixing stuff, direction, solving problem but NOT memory stuff. i always teased him abt needing a PA. we havent agreed on the rate though.
he asked me – will i be irrated one day by his super poor memory? no ! i find it outrageoulsy hilarious 🙂 but.. who know? his short-term memory could very well turn out to be my exericse in patience !

Super Carrot Head
The story goes like this:
I got my new hp, the Samsung Omnia 2. One day i was in Toa Payoh with friends and there were many hp accessories shop over there. I thought of getting a Screen Protector for my Omnia. So i juz went in 1 shop near Crystal Jade.
I ask whether they sell (coz Omnia was relatively new that time and quite a number of shops not yet in stock), and of coz this salesperson say yes. He ask whether i want a cheap one or a good quality one. So i ask the good quality one how much. He said $32. I go “woah, so ex ah?”. He said no lar, this is very good one. He take out his own hp and show it by doing some scratching and the screen is still okay. “This screen protector is from japan, can last u till u sell ur hp, its very good”.
I thought he was selling those indeed good ones like Martin Fields or wat. So i think, aiya okay loh, pay for good quality stuff. So i buy. Then he take out the package. Looks cheapo leh.
I saw it and say “This one good quality one meh? How come the packaging is so unconvincing one??” He insisted that it is good stuff. But my habit of once say i’ll buy, i’ll buy…. So i ended up with the stupid thing…
Somehow as i walk and walk, i think i kena chop carrot head. I called girl up to whine abt it. girl – yes he text me at 1am. asking have i slp? called me and whine abt it !
That’s not the highlight of my story…..
Somehow my hp was spoilt and i bring it down to M1 and they do a 1 to 1 exchange. So i am without screen protector again… waste $$$. girl – i tot of surprising him with a new screen protector.. just wanted to make him feel better, i think $32 is exp & he’s kinda unlucky, new phone aldy got problem.
Today i went Rochor Centre to get something. On the way i passed by a hp accessory shop “Y2K”, its like a distributor. So i went in, hoping to get a new screen protector. I asked the lady whether they sell.
She said “yes of coz! u want the anti-glare one or the normal one”.
I said, “How much?”
The killer answer….. “The anti-glare is $8 and the normal one is $5″………
I was stunned….. The $5 one she showed me is the same as the $32 i bought from TOA PAYOH!!! I wanna kill that bastard!!!!
So ridiculously marked up!!! I of coz bought the $8 and leave.
I was so mad abt it and called girl to whine.
This is CRAZY! I want to burn down that shop!!! girl – yes! he really wanna burn down the shop ! angry lee in town. run for ur life !
Please brothers and sisters, if u want to buy hp accessories, go to Rochor Centre, level 2 and look out for the “Y2K” Shop. I saw a few customers carrying basket full of hp accessories, i think most retailers take stocks from this shop. So confirm price is the lowest there liao.

what seems like forever & a day, the rain stopped.
finally. got back into the car & we both let out a long sigh.
i’m home. blogging this. showered, clean clothes, dry feet. heaven is what you made of it.
what an experience!
